“Players that connect to these servers will automatically download the latest versions of those mods and maps from Steam Workshop when they connect to the game server running the user generated content. Game servers can now subscribe to user generated content that community modders and mappers have made and submitted to Steam Workshop, and the servers will auto update when the modders update their content,” said Tripwire President John Gibson. “We now have our dream modding functionality for Killing Floor 2, a functionality which very few games have. With Killing Floor 2’s full implementation of Steam Workshop, clients and servers will be able to subscribe to workshop maps and mods. This will allow players and servers to keep all of their subscribed mods automatically up to date and give players the ability to download unsubscribed mods and maps directly from Steam instead of a re-direct server. After ending 2015 with an absolute bloodbath stemming from the Return of the Patriarch content update to their highly successful co-op sci-fi horror FPS PC title, Killing Floor 2, Tripwire Interactive is proud to announce that a new patch is now available on Steam that includes full Steam Workshop integration!
